Imagine the pain they dealt with. I agree with muddy. Hip hop used to be the blues. Now it has been perverted, pimped, whored, bought, and sold. Hip hop loss it's soul and the youth of today don't have the same pain from 1982. But they will (Bush era) and this recession will give them some pain to rap about. Give it some time. 2 Pac remembered, who will be our new 2 Pac? Who is not affraid to rap about pain? Not weed, sex, liquor, but pain? I wrote a song everytime I cried. I still feel it today

Powerful words my friend. I must say, we all have experienced the pains of life. I heard muddy say "just any man can't sang the blues" He means, ya gotta hurt a little. I think Hip hop or rap is the same. Ya gotta hurt a little. Now a days, our rap has gotten diluted with greed and dope. KRS One, Public Enemy, and others felt that pain. I was about being heard and respected. Now what are we rapping about? Imagine the power lil wayne would have if he rapped about his loss (father) long time ago.

Without the black blues players the music woul be completely different from now. This is a reality it is not a perception. Almost all of the rockbands in 60s used blues to invent Rock music. Without Robert Johnson and the others there would be no Eric Clapton, no Rolling Stones, no Jimmy Page and Led Zeppellin, no Ritchie and Deep Purple, no Van Hallen, no Pat Metheny, no Joe Satriani, No Steve Vai. Thanks to you all..

The irony is without Muddy Waters great music as well as others they could not produce the bullshit they make today.

Man you said a mouth full! They have no clue where their own origins lie. So, they continue to produce bullshit, done over and over by everyone who calles themselves musicians.

You think so I was listening to this once and some gangsta said it was a load of fuckin emo shit go slit your wrists. Either he doesnt know his own culture or he's been taught to hate anything to do with the southern roots of african americans because its a image which they dont want to be associated with.

Well said. This man and so many others have given to the world the music we all hear today. Mr. Muddy Waters both sand and lived what he sang. He was a King above men to me. God Bless His Soul..
