many of the mac laptops have built-in accelerometers so that they can detect a fall (and subsequently park the hard drive heads) before impact. however, the accelerometer can also be used for many fun things like this.

Well, it matters. There are some Linux distros Like Linpus ( formerly called Lindows ) that is extremely bloated. Xubuntu or Ubuntu are pretty nice, but I prefer Linux Mint to newbies, because it's pretty lite, has a big package selection, and lots of stuff is pre-installed. There is also a version of linux mint with a light window manager for lower end machines ( requires 60mb ram ).

Is that because Linux isn't power hungry and you can use lesser components? I'm trying to make a Gaming rig, costing me £170 ($200). While on the topic of price, you can buy a mac for $26,000. no joke, Bearing in mind its rediculously over specced for something thats (suppost to be) "fast and stable" on its own. |
