This is one of those forever songs. I have loved this song since the first release. I listen to it all the time. The animals are the only ones that can do this song justice. It is their song. Forever!!

Actually the tune is an english ballad that made its way to North America long ago. Therefore being a traditional tune, it cannot be copyrighted, hence the number of bands playing and recording this song. You'll probably find recordings of this song since the 20s. Enjoy!
