Give it a rest. Jerry Lee Lewis is
right up there with the greatest
music talents we have ever produced.

They're playing the same kind of music, you can argue technicalities all you want, it's just hairsplitting. It's the performance that counts. There are no doubt obscure guitarists who are better than the Beatles, but that doesn't make the obscure ones the better performers. In LR and JLL's case, the voice is more important anyway, and LR's voice has more edge and more passion. I like JLL, we listened to his new CD as loud as possible in the car for weeks - but I prefer LR.

No, I'm just a pianist that plays all kinds of modern music. And there are lots of ways to play rock 'n' roll on piano, and it's totally different to play in LR's style than in JLL's style.

How is JL's different from Little Richard? And I don't need lessons about rock & roll, thank you -- I've been listening to it, dancing to it, and studying it for a long time.
Have you read "Right to Rock", by the Black Rock Coalition? It's a good read . .

Jerry Lee Lewis copying Richard's style? Learn a little bit about rock 'n' roll! Their versions are totally different.

Not saying that JLL isn't good, because he is . . but just not AS good. Good pianist.
