its a strange thing when a highway patrolman has to shout to the truckdriver to ask what his speed is when he's driving next to him at same speed. broken speedometer on bike?. btw with all impossibilities still love it.=o)

Plus, you have to take into account the downhill slope, the weight of the truck, momentum, etc. The truck may have been stick but even in neutral it would still roll. You're right that he should have geared down, tho. It would have at least helped!

He said he was going 68 mph....so he was speeding right? Wasn't the national mph only 55 back then? Also wasn't that truck a manual transmission? Because shouldn't he have just gradually down shifted and let the engine slow the truck down?
