One of the most awesome games ever made. It's really easy to find on Ebay or Amazon. Everybody should play this game at least once.
I actually find the minimalistic voice acting to be poetic. I couldn't begin to tell you how many times I hated it when they started putting "story" into my space sims, with ham-fisted overacting out the wazzoo.

No, I didn't mean to sound that negative. Basically, I just wanted to point out that the sadness is far more subtle and elusive than one would expect from an event of such magnitude.

Okay, I agree that there are subtle emotions displayed. A vauge sense of sadness and loss. I guess it's just my personal preference that voice-actors... act. Don't get me wrong, I loved the Homeworld series.

I disagree. It's really subtle... listen closely, Karan's voice sounds emotionless because she's in absolute shock. Same for the Navy Officer. Listen how his voice breaks, how he slows down as he stops talking.
I love it, because it's so different from the classic crying and despair.

Sjet is inmersed in a computer and the navy officer's voice if u listen closely has some level of sadness/shortbreathnedness(SP?) but i agree with ya in a way
