oooo so its as if donnie is the rabbit and if he doesn't die the entire human race will die. but wait, the rabbits run from their fate, and one human had to die for the entire human race, not one rabbit died for the rest of the rabbit species to go on :(.

It was really cool seeing this. Someone suggested that the part of the movie they're showing there is a paranoid rabbit who hallucinates, like Donnie. But there is question about the survival of his species, also like in 'Donnie Darko.' As was mentioned, Donnie's denial that rabbits and humans are similar is interesting considering Frank the rabbit is actually a human.

The third view is the correct one: That rabbits are just as important as humans. Whether they think the way we do is irrelevant - their ability to feel fear and pain is the same.
