Unions have nothing to do with these examples you've listed: they are health and safety issues that are inspected and controlled by the government.

Saide was asking for it. Your realize that, right?

But you are right, some people do make short term decisions and _do_ pay more than the market allows... and they suffer the consequences (they go under).

If a person actually _agrees_ to work 7 days a week, 14 hrs, for only 8 dollars/hour; then that is their choice.

You are forgetting that I said it was a individual's choice to work for a company in the first place. In fact, the only way your argument there can be valid is by dropping that fact (context dropping).

Individuals that decide. That's right individuals. Individuals who decide to join some org of their own individual will and respond and react. individuals or groups i.e. companies MOVE technology, but you are one sided also if you think that Heaters were added to building to improve productivity and not in a response to workers demanding it. I'd like to meet you in a society where skilled jobs are 7 days a week 14 hr days and less then $8

It should protect the people of hazards that the employers lied about. That is a violation of a person's rights. That is the _only_ business the government has in business.
Now if the job has hazards and the employees were informed about it, and still work there--that is the employees choice; even if that employee has no other job.

that's right you are "pretty sure". meaning you "think" meaning you are open to the exception and at the course of your education you are left to think what you think. Well You can't just pull the word 'technology' out your ass and have it save your case. Long run? a response can be immediate, changes happen on the turn of a dime.

Nice that Here, whomever you are horvay, that you think that the GOV should step in. step in and what? protect the people? thats right, that is what pook is saying. Protect the people, if not the government perhaps a business or org. Some destructive agents are continued about employees still.

There is only one way to make a union work: and thats to fake the laws of supply and demand--and that can only come from one thing: taxes. But then you are taking away from everyone.
A union is bad, its the individual who should decided to work somewhere or not--and its the individual that will move technology along and improve conditions in a free society. |
