Beautiful soul, person as well as singer/dancer. Also Ann Margaret is so very modest. Let's love here while she's still on earth. Almost died in the early 70s stage fall in Las Vegas.

I think they would've been a great couple if wed. They both had the same interests and both good looking. He would have had all he wanted with someone of his own interests and goals. They both were fire together. They had all in common. He made the wrong choice marrying someone that did not have the same interest and goals. He probably would still be alive if he and Ann had gotten married!

The story goes that he almost did propose marriage to her, but wound up marrying Priscilla instead. Probably the better choice in the long run -- Elvis and Annie would have made a dynamite celebrity couple, but with both of them being top stars and focused on their own careers, it would have been more of a constant clash of egos than a marriage. Just think of how long most of today's celebrity marriages last.

Great song. Although it was a Number 1 in the UK in '61, this song has never got the airplay like his other (lesser) hits. Maybe it's overshadowed by his other Neopolitan ballard "It's Now or Never"?

Ann Margaret was and still is a very beautiful woman, and they did have a hot n heavy relationship, that she keeps secret till this day. How about that "Round Bed" Elvis bought her? Like they never did anything in it..lol..great video! |
