You know what was awesome about this? If you've ever seen Gaffigan's Beyond the Pale stand-up special, he does the same Hot Pocket routine. Well at one point in that, he's like "I never eat a Hot Pocket and say to myself 'I'm glad I ate that. I'm always like 'I'm gonna die." Well in this Letterman skit, at 5:02 he's about to deliver the "I'm gonna die" line, but the crowd's applause interrupted him and he moved on. Cool to see he has the ability to adjust each show. Many comedians don't.
