No, if you ALWAYS make a continuation bet, you're setting yourself up to get trapped. What I have found works best is a mix of 80% continuation bets, 20% checks. I also check occasionally when I hit, to mix up my play even more.

He should totally make a continuation bet. Continuation bets are the best way to play. Everyone should make it 100% of the time, especially in sit-n-gos.

yeah I don't know what kira7power is talking about. Nothing wrong with the cont. bet. Scary card on turn. you invested so little in the pot which made it quite to easy to fold.

you mean 9,10 of diamonds? Maybe thats why you don't hit a straight flush.

Mikey, nice lay down. When you're beat, you're beat. Wicked flop with your 9, 10, open ended flush draw plus 2 overs. I would have played K8 the same, don't listen to kira power. And you gotta fold 6s there with 6 people behind you and who knows, Mikey may have an over pair:) GO Mikey! And you critisize Mikey for not going all in b4 the flop. I think it was an okay play by Mikey but not a great play.

well You raise to 3x preflop with position and BB calls you. that mean he has some type of hand. continuous bet works less effectively with a scary flop. a better play would be 'delay continuous bet' if ur opponent choose to check again at the turn.

Given my preflop raise and position against the caller from the big blind. I chose to represent an Ace here. Obv, I got away when the bet on the flop was called. Most of the time you will take this pot down with aggression and position. Players can call with any 2 from the BB so I think a continuation bet is the right play, if you are raising preflop here.

dude, you don't make a continuous bet into a scary board AcJc3h when you miss. a lot of online beginners like ace rag these days. don't bet into it
