I personally admire the Irish. If you knew them, you would know that they're the best teacher of FREEDOM you can find. They know what is like to be subdued by external forces who try to impose their will on you. They've always been fighting this and they will keep on doing that, and they have all my support! If my country had just 10% of the love for Freedom they have, it wouldn't be run by a bunch of mafia guys.

One that sees the EU as another US-like superpower whose only desire is having more and more power instead of creating a model of democracy and tolerance that can inspirate the other countries of the world.

You're the real ANTI-EUROPEAN here, one that thinks that the EU should work on "favours" and where you can "buy consensus", one who intimidates smaller european countries instead of showing friendship and solidarity. The EU should be something that symbolizes the friendship between european nations and common respect of european democratic values. Unfortunately, a person like you will never understand this.

the fact that the Irish voted NO to the Lisbon Treaty doesn't mean that they're against the EU or the euro. They, like the majority of EU citizens want a different EU, one that is closer to the people of Europe and not a centralized regime run by bankers and bureaucrats.

Go Ireland!... and freemen everywhere... It's nice to know that the europeans are awaking... now if more of our people could do the same.

Without the EURO and the EU - Ireland would go the Icelandic way = down!
The Irish should be grateful. Joining the EU in 1972 was one of the better decisions the Irish made!

British Nationalists are the new friends of the Irish. They support Irish EU scepticism Lol. And there is of course Irish Millionaire Mr. Ganley who helped the No vote with printing posters. LOL
Ireland could get pretty isolated in Europe, in the face of a world recession this could proof a biteen depressing for eire.
I like Ireland (at least sometimes) but politically (look at your Banana Republic)
you are Loosers - so please do not interfere with the bigger picture.

Have one of you ever noticed the big road -signs
(near our better roads) 'this project is funded by the EU'? Do you all know what these means?
It means that the Irish have to pay for same projects in Poland or Germany. EU is death!

Shoot, I'm speaking as an American: GO IRELAND. I wish my peers here in the Etats-Unis had the testicular fortitude you have to stand in firm opposition to fascist legislation. Instead, most of my peers tell me I'm an idiot for not voting for Obama, simply because they are brainwashed into thinking that socializing healthcare, banking, and anything else you care to name amounts to freedom and prosperity. So this Christmas, please buy America a history lesson, would you please? |
